Course Details & Objectives

This is the WHMIS & GHS course in French.

Health Canada (Federal Government) has implemented changes to the WHMIS system by incorporating the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) and renaming the system WHMIS 2015. Due to these changes, WHMIS is in a period of transition between two hazard communication regimes - WHMIS 1988 and WHMIS 2015.

To give suppliers, employers and workers time to adjust to the new system, implementation of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) (WHMIS 2015) will take place over a three-stage transition period that is synchronized nationally across federal, provincial and territorial jurisdictions. https://www.ontario.ca/page/workplace-hazardous-materials-information-system-whmis#section-1
