Our Health & Safety Instructors and Consultants are fully qualified in providing you with concise and easily applicable solutions to your workplace safety concerns and training needs. When meeting with you, they will take the time to understand your working environment and the issues you face before recommending a course of action and providing you with customized solutions. Since 2003, LaborTek instructors have trained over 50,000 people working in all streams of industries and the provincial and federal governments. They constantly keep up-to-date with changes and new requirements in the health and safety landscape and readily share with learners any new piece of legislation which is about to be enforced.

 

Donald Tardif
President

Donald Tardif is the founder and leader of LaborTek Personnel since 1993 as well, as LaborTek Safety Training since 2003. Donald has worked in the staffing industry since 1988. His past experience comes from the mining exploration, forestry manufacturing, service industry, construction and retail management. Safety has always been part of him, as a father and an employer. The idea of starting the Safety Training branch was to provide to his clients' employees well trained and to avoid any accident in the workplace as possible. Today, Labor Tek Safety Training is one of the most recognized enterprises in Ottawa and by the Ministry of Labour in Ontario.

Paul Fooks
Head Safety Trainer / Health and Safety Consultant

Paul Fooks is a highly organized, analytical and motivated military veteran with over 26 years of experience.  Paul's career-long training and experiences are in safety policies and procedures combined with an extensive mechanical and information management background.

 

Warren Backler
Safety Trainer / Health and Safety Consultant

Warren Backler is a health and safety trainer with more than 20 years of experience. He has worked in maritime chemical transportation, oil exploration and drilling, paramedicine, construction and demolition, asbestos, mold and lead removal. He is an Ontario certified CHSO, working towards his CRSP*/PSAC** designation. Warren is known for his knowledge and skills in training, problem resolution, dealing with people and more. Warren takes pride in his work, is an engaged, energetic teacher, dedicated to improving health and safety in the workplace.

Guy Lalonde
Safety Trainer / Representative

Guy Lalonde completed his Occupational Safety and Health certificate, with honors, at Algonquin College.  He brings over 12 years of experience as a Health and Safety Representative and Trainer.  Including extensive experience as a Health and Safety Train-the-trainer and Representative for the last 8 years. Experienced in construction, transportation, logging, and farming industries. Guy is committed to raising awareness about Health and Safety, sharing his expertise and experience through high-quality training, while always remaining client-focused.
